Fabric Flowers

Crafting time!

So materials:
fabric
pattern (2 pieces)
scissors
glue size
iron
sewing machine
22 gauge covered floral wire
glue
floral tape
18 gauge floral wire
time


How to after the jump...

Step 1: Cut out the 2 pattern pieces

Step 2: Soak the pieces in glue size. This stiffens the fabric. Dry

Step 3: Iron flat

Step 4: Stitch dart on the "spade" piece


Step 5: clip along the petal side on the dart, enough to open the flower. poke holes in center of the throat, and center of the petals.


Step 6: make a loop in the wire.


Step 7: Thread wire in through the throat, out the first hole.


Step 8: Make a bend in the wire about half an inch up. Push the bend through the second hole, into the middle of the the petals.


Step 9: Clip the "Double Circles" piece in the middle.


Step 10: Fold over one petal and put through the wire loop in the center of the other piece.


Step 11: Put a drop of glue at the base of the petals to hold in place.


Step 12: Wrap in floral tape starting on the fabric to pinch it all tight, and continue to wrap down the wire stem.


Step 13: Wrap several stems together.



Finished Product!
